Violence is Sometimes Justified

‘’Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." In some situations violence is justified. I heard a story about a girl that who was always patient. When she was young, if friends fought with her or said something bad to her she never fought back. She was very nice to everybody. 

         Time went on and she got married. When she married, her mother-in-law was so mean to her. The mother-in law was always angry at her, but she was quiet. The mother-in-law thought that she had power over her.

        One day the mother-in-law told the girl to leave her home and her son. The daughter-in-law was about to tell her husband, but her husband was in another country.She thought that it was not OK to tell him now and she went to her parents’ house. When her husband called her, he was angry at his wife and asked her, "Why did you go to your parents’ house? Go home; you should be at home you don’t have to go there like that." She became very sad and she realized that she didn't have to be more patient.

When she came back to her home the next day the mother-in-law told her, "I didn't tell you to not come here again? She answered, ‘’Yes, and I remember it,  but what was my mistake? Why I can not come here?" Whatever the  mother-in-law said, she argued back. She told the mother-in-law, "I was very patient because I didn’t want to argue with you, but I  can’t take it anymore."

She brought all of the matters in front of the whole family. She said all of the things that the mother-in-law told her. When the other family members heard that all of them thought that the mother-in-law was wrong. The father-in-law told his wife to say sorry to her. The mother-in-law thought that she was getting impatient and it will not be good for her  family anymore and if she didn’t say sorry, all of the family members will be angry with her.

Finally, the mother-in-law asked for forgiveness. The daughter-in-law said, " I didn’t mean for you to say sorry to me, but I just wanted you to stop fighting with me because I like a house where there is love and happiness." Then she didn’t really fight with her.

In my opinion, I think violence is justified if someone threatens to kill your family then you would fight back. I think violence is not justified for arguing and jealousy. I believe that you can only fight back if it is big thing, but not every little thing.
